Designing with the end in mind.

Hello! I'm James, an Industrial Designer from Sydney, Australia. I'm all about the interactions people have with the objects that surround them, and the environments in which they inhabit. I've spent the last half-decade doing a large variety of work, including working in the tech industry (electronics, VR), Retail design, secondary education, a diversity of projects, and volunteering with organisations in my local community.

I have a love and passion for design work. Every detail of an object, environment, or experience is a decision, of which will impact people in an emotional way. Whether something is loud or quiet, colourful or chameleon, always around or just there when you need it, the liminal space in which a person senses and responds to the object at hand is the playground in which designers inhabit. This emotional contact between a person and their environment is fundamentally why I love working in this space.

I’m passionate about both physical and digital products & experiences. I fundamentally believe every step of the design process must be predicated against research, and that collaboration is the source of good outcomes with both colleagues and clients.
